Site Herstory

First of all, most of the pictures on these layouts are of me. That could be considered narcissistic but I only do it because it's a personal site. My favorite things about personal sites is because they're so hedonistic. Mostly I treat my websites like archives that are about my own personal herstory, interests and my favorite parts are to organize them. I'm interested in other people's histories, they are quite fascinating.
I always found the herstory site (if any) on someone's page quite interesting. I never got around to doing mine as well because I didn't feel it was necessary to type down a whole herstory on how much sites I've created on the interweb. I've always had a fascination with making graphics for websites so to amuse myself I made a funny little personal site on hometown.aol.com. After a few months of making cool images from Paint Shop Pro 7, I finally got around to be hosted. Kellie's was my first hostess, broken-stars.org. I named it Purple Sharpies because I loved them so much. I made a few "good" layouts, well they were pretty decent anyway, and some people enjoyed 'em. I was still sensitive of my website designing skills and content so whenever I submitted my site to a review site, I would get sort of butt hurt. I decided to switch hostesses, I don't know why, I just have the tendency to do that...I got hosted at skribble-this.net by Grace. She is a sweetheart. She gave me a lot of compliments on the site and that made me continue to do more sites. I opened up the ZINE fanlisting where I met two people, Grace and Cinn. Yeah, we're still good friends today. (That was two years ago) Grace (from skribble-this.net) closed her site one day and didn't tell me. I was quite sad because of that and all my work was hosted there so I lost all my precious layouts and contents that I've diligently worked my butt off for. Those kinds of problems seem to happen to me way too many times. I think I took a break from the interweb sites but I kept one at freewebs.com in case I wanted to start up another site again. It was called le_sex. It was super simple, nothing too-spectacular-too-personal-kind-of site. After a few months, I got bored with freewebs.com, so I applied for oh-pistol.net and finally gave birth to my longest personal website: murder. I kept up with it for a few years until she forgot to pay her site and without notice, it was closed again. I was so frustrated that I quit the interweb. I was tired of dealing with that, putting up the site again, organizing everything. Ughh. I got tired. So I went on a very huge hiatus. Wait, well before I was on a hiatus, I moved all my work to Kelly's site at throwmeaway.com and got my own domain from Alan of Fall of Autumn. I also did little projects for others for a bit but then stopped because I haven't kept up with my graphic skills, I can only do basic things like brush techniques, making brushes, etc. The other sites I maintain are Gimme Brains!!! Distro and the ZINE fanlisting. There's my herstory, I hope that was a bit interesting. I enjoy her/history. :)

murder/anatomy reviews:

Most review sites don't approve of my site because it's random. There are actually a few that grasp that concept of my site. Eh, whatever floats your boat. Some of these sites have been helpful; Honest Truth Reviews are really helpful for people who want straight up criticism. ME on the other hand, had a few chuckles with those two reviews I received and I know my site isn't professional and I'm okay with that. You Fucking Suck Reviews and Robotic Hearts are both closed.
