Oh wut? It's almost the middle of 2009 already? Shit! I thought it was just New Years yesterday. I've been a busy bee in terms of school and work. There is bugs and cobwebs around the creative department which is really weird for me because I love to create things. I'm trying to open myself to different media like film, music, painting, etc but I haven't gotten over the nervousness I have, the fear that anything I do will just be mediocre or crappy. I don't know why I am so ingrained to that fear, I'm trying to rid of it, honestly.

Life is so simple, right? It's just how you perceive things that screw shit up, what you expect of others, what others expect of you, makes it difficult. Masakit na masakit ang puso ko. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang dapat gawin. Nakakaraos ko isa araw. Haha there's my attempt at speaking Tagalog, anyway, I'm grooving to sweetness lately. I received riot grrrrl zines like Bikini Kill and Girl Germs, I'm so excited to read them!

Apparently there was an audition for American Idol earlier today at the Cow Palace. I was wondering why there were so many people today. Speaking of creative splooges, check out this to the left. I speak of my old obsessions way too many times. I used to be really obsessed with the infamous Marilyn Monroe in 7th grade when I did a report for her for my English class. She is everything I am not and what I wish I could be but better. A messy, clumsy girl can't be compared. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if she was alive and kickin' right now. I stopped my obsession during my sophmore year of high school because I've moved on to better people... who are much alive. I think I was attracted to her tragedy and her glorious hair. Another obsession of mine that is beginning to grow is
Last.fm. I just subscribed and I am loving the features. Uhhhh, well that was irrelevant! :] I updated the zine page and also added the links page.

I have been obsessed with watching Grey's Anatomy. It gives me the creeps... watching a fake reality for hours upon hours. Sometimes I am amazed at how much thematic drama can be contained in the seasons. Each show is roughly 45 minutes and there are four episodes per disc. Between television shows and feature films, I prefer films to television shows because I know how much I will be engulfed with a television show and with films, I just get really excited over styles, dialogue and techniques. Bah! I'll probably watch season four when it comes out to DVD.

How many times have I seen Independence Day? I can imagine Bill Pullman play the President shouting this engaging speech about world annihilation:
"Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"
Happy whatever. I would love to say though, Happy belated Canada Day! As for site news, I haven't updated the links yet. In time!
