First Impression Wow, very very red. I'm scared my eyes will hurt after staring at your site for a while, which is not a good sign. I'm a bit confused with your layout, as it's not common and personally seems a bit inefficient. At a first glance I can straight away tell that your text will be a pain to read. Presentation I feel that the background colour is a bit bright, or perhaps "full on" is a better description. Considering that there aren't many images either, there aren't any colours that tie-in together. With the images that there are there, I'm not finding any relevance in them. The one underneath your description doesn't seem that related to the one above updates. The random splotches of red you've put on the images don't exactly look like you've put much effort into them either. The gap between the description of you and the main updates should be smaller too, so it doesn't seem like you're columns are completely separate to the other things on the site. At most, the gap could be about approximately 70px, but no bigger than that. At the same time, you could fix it by making the main column wider, so it's easier to read big blocks of text. Your links also just sit there, not really fitting in and seeming to be completely separate. You really need a 'theme' to your site, and actually use the colours and images to try and tie them in together. The text is hard to read because you've set the line height as 10, whereas I think you should just leave that attribute out altogether or set it higher. I also dislike justified text, but that's a personal opinion. Content First off, where you've got i'm mae undead i christened myself that just minutes ago would probably sound better as I'm Mae Undead, I christened myself that as I'm typing this or something along those lines. Mix Tapes Oh my golly gosh. Completely different theme. Bright bright colours now. I suggest to keep your themes the same, or at least have something alike in them. I can't say much as I really don't understand any of this at all. Personally I don't think many people aside from your friends would find it interesting either, as you don't really explain what all the Side A and Side B and all the information mean. Zines Not that interesting for someone not interested in Zines, and especially since I'm not entirely sure what they are either. I think you could write better descriptions for each Zine, such as what it's about more rather than how you made it. Theda Bara A whole page of interesting information about a silent star, but it was all copied from someone elses article. You don't explain at all why there's an entire section on her in your site either, whether it be that she's an idol or something else. Errors There aren't any broken images, but you seem to type like how you'd speak. There are too many mistakes in your writing, such as misspelt words or the lack of capital letters, to list them all. I'd suggest going through your site and re-writing it all. Coding You don't have a doctype in your coding, which is very important to make sure your site is compatible in other browsers. Add doctype before your html tag: Your CSS tags are also best in a different document, which would then be linked to from your main HTML page. As you have it now, the CSS tags are also supposed to be between your head tags, not body. You shouldn't have to use any font tags, as that should be covered in your CSS for valid HTML 4.0 There's also some nesting errors, such as: Zerospace #1
, where you haven't closed off the
. Conclusion I was quite disappointed with your site. It feels like you've slapped a few things that interest you into different sections, with no common theme at all. In total, there are six pages on your entire site, none that tell me anything about you at all, considering this is a personal site. The half star is basically for the fact you bothered to link HTReviews, and have one or two pages. You need to fix up your coding, add content, whether it be visitor or pages about yourself, and use only one layout, rather than different colours and backgrounds on each page.
